About Me

IMG_4481

Hi,

Firstly, thanks for taking your time to have a look at this art blog, I truly appreciate it.

A brief intro about myself: I’m a self-taught artist based in Canada and this is my first time entering the blogging world (eeek). I find art to be quite therapeutic, I really do. Stressful days usually call for painting sessions. I adore works done by Studio Ghibli and Claude Monet. My dream: to have one of my own paintings displayed front and center at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City (this may be reaching for the stars BUT as the saying goes: “no matter how small you start, always dream big”).

Growing up I drew a lot in my free time; My absolute favourite thing to draw in Kindergarten was a picture that consisted of a sunny sky, a house, a pathway, apple trees, and lots and lots of birds that looked like floating V’s (they really were intended to be birds). After continuing to pursue art as a hobby, through middle school, high school and  in University when time permitted, I wanted to do something with that passion and see where that takes me. As a result this little art blog was created (with the original name “Seascape Art Blog”) and I started taking on orders for commissioned paintings, doing little giveaways, creating bookmarks to support reading and participating in charity events and art exhibits around the city – and I’ve been absolutely loving the experience and where it has taken me.

There were few changes made along the way – the name being one of them. It has now transformed into artxbyvk.

I believe art lets you see the world a little differently: Every light you see reflects something; Every line you spot makes a connection; Every scene you pass by exhibits a hidden life. This motivates me to create something that helps treasure those moments.

Thanks again for dropping by! I hope you enjoy my pieces as much as I’ve enjoyed creating them! Feel free to leave comments – I’d very much looove to hear feed-backs.

If you’ve got any requests/inquires for commissioned or customized paintings/charity events coming up, you can contact me at: artxartblog@gmail.com

~ Cheers 🐱
