“That looks like an island inside an island”. This is an ode to the little island I was born in surrounded by the bee-you-tea-ful blues (looking at this makes me crave for a vacation somewhere with some island breeze and palm trees, sigh). The wood shape was a bonus that worked in favor. This little guy is up for grabs, if you’re interested, leave a message or contact me!

Tutorial based little watercolour postcards. Venturing this medium right now 🙂 It’s definitely on the other spectrum of acrylic (that I’m used to) when it comes to techniques and knowing when to stop. Layering when you’re using acrylic is fine, but with watercolour you really need to know how to work backwards. Mountains inspired by my little get away to Alberta!

A long overdue painting session with two of my art loving friends 🙂 It was much more inspiring to paint outside. Looking forward to squeezing in time for more of these before summer is over. P.s. Instax is a must!

Progress…ing along with the third wood piece 🙂 (with somee greenery)
Decided to try something slightly different: I usually start with a white gesso coat to makes the colours look bright, but this time I started with a black instead to explore a starry night scenery. Here it is so far! Hopefully it either turns out resembling a little ceiling window looking out into the sky or gives the feeling and the perspective of lying down in the grass looking up at the stars..
And yes, will be selling this one as well!
Starting progress 🙂 :

Serenity by the falls.

Inspiration for this piece: marbles. They are like little planets with their own unique identities. I wanted to create one based on ours 🙂
This piece tells a contrasting story from two sides:
This was especially made for this year’s Salon of Inclusiveness II by the Black Cat Artspace (located at 2186 Dundas St W, Toronto), and I’m excited to say that you can now find it there ❗
