This special custom piece for a dancer ❤ It’s always been a challenge for me to draw/paint facial features, so when I was approached with this request, it was a mix feeling of excitement and anxiousness not knowing how it will turn out. In the end, I was absolutely ecstatic with the result, and I could not be happier! It is most definitely one of my favourite creations and after finishing this, I just felt a lot more confident in taking on more projects that involved painting human features 🙂

2019 was my second year putting this together and I’m grateful it went well thanks to those willing to buy and donate to help make these gifts. The first year was a challenge but this time around there was a better grasp of it. Thanks again to the lovely contributions and I hope to continue to this everyone winter season ❤

Toronto Public Library featured an artist each month at participating locations, giving them a solo exhibit to display their work. So grateful to have gotten the opportunity to exhibit mine on the same month as my birthday 🙂 I specifically chose a location in Scarborough since these were the libraries I grew up going to. This art exhibit is a special one and meant a lot ❤

August 2018

Has it really been almost a year since I updated here?! Shamefully yes, yes it has.

Instagram art account and occasional Facebook art posts have kept me preoccupied all these days. I must say, social media has been a good outlet and a great exposure to other artists who adore painting and the art scene as much as I do. It has been quite inspiring seeing talents all over the world while learning and connecting, so no complaints there at all!

Today, something suddenly got me thinking, how can I forget this website that started it all?! And decided it’s time I post something that sums up what has happened so far this year and possibly use this as a push to get back into blogging more frequently 🙂

An overview since the last post: did a few Instagram postcard giveaways of customized artwork for the winners, bookmarks are a new thing I abso-freakin-loutely adore doing, customized bridesmaid reveal postcards and an entrance painting for a wedding for a lovely couple was definitely a highlight, Twitter Art Exhibit 2018, entered to the Toronto Public Library art exhibit happening next year with an art work representing diversity in the city, customized little token-of-thank you cards to send, painted Harry Potter Marauders Map box… and now working on wood minis and figuring out what to do for year ahead!

It feels nice to be back on this, how I’ve missed this ❤

Thanks so much for stopping by! xx

I’m not sure how to even express it, I’m just really ecstatic and humbled to be a part of it. This is just a first step towards ultimately doing my own artist project for the show one day. As excited as I am for having this small role in the massive citywide event, I’m just as thrilled by the theme of this show that is fitting for the year – Who Are You? The show focuses on the artists presence in Canada and what it means to each one to be a Canadian. Canada being my second home and the one I’m the most familiar with, I looked forward to making pieces that resonated with the theme. My two paintings focus on what makes me who I am in relevant to what I call home: “A Journey From” and “A Journey To”.

About the two pieces:

“A Journey From” – This is the smaller piece of the two. It takes a glimpse at a beach side island and the bright sky representing the future that awaits beyond.

“A Journey To” – focuses on the city and the multi-layers of the journey that took me and my family here. It also depicts Canada’s beauty through mountains, city scape and various colors representing multiculturalism that surrounds us, mainly here in Toronto.

Hope you get to stop by and I really hope to see you there ~ cheers! 🙂
